Contemplations on Spirit
'In this blog I contemplate the means to understand one self and the motivation that moves us to unfold in heart and soul.'
Can we allow life to go beyond cognition?
The Dissolving: Venus-Neptune, Mars, and the Eclipse Season

At the time of the solar eclipse, August 12, Neptune was receiving this kite configuration with the outer planets and the Venus opposition, and Venus was also squaring Mars. This meant a lot of personal, or a personal part of life, was affected by that deep transit.
Neptune and the dissolving theme
When this collective trend touches personal planets like Mars (energy) and Venus (balance, harmony), it is usually felt as a feeling of dissolving. This dissolving can present itself in many different ways. I want to focus on it because it ties into the shedding of skin, which is relevant for the eclipse.
When we are dissolving with our surroundings, when these sensitive layers of our being are awakened, there can be a sense of being overstimulated - receiving more information than one can process. For example, if you're a therapist with a strong Neptune quality, you have that ability to sense through the unspoken layers and easily relate to your client by sensing the unspoken.
In our own personal life, this can mean that our energy level (Mars) and our ability to feel at ease (Venus) become highly sensitive to any information that is unspoken - felt but not understood. Most of us don't have the ability to fully register everything, which isn't usually needed since it's just part of our existence. But when personal planets in transit are touched this way, it can mean we need more rest, more seclusion, to process all the received, uninvited information. It can also mean we feel more confused and more overstimulated.

Where we are now
The kites are now out of orb - out of range of momentum - but they are still reverberating through our being. Most of us are still processing, still in the midst of eclipse season. A lunar eclipse ahead is always a chance for emotional integration, a chance to process and receive the teachings of the solar eclipse.
Today, the square between Mars and Neptune is still active. When you look at dissolving and at energy level together, connected through a square - which usually causes friction, a sense of feeling stuck - working through that compression brings forth those archetypes: the dissolving archetype (the feeling of being one with everything else) and our sense of energy, our sense of assertivity. This can invite feelings of being overwhelmed and a need for more rest.
Looking ahead: the yod
Once we approach the Mars-Saturn square august 24th (written about in a different piece), double quincunxes will appear with Pluto sextile Neptune, both quincunx to the Sun - a yod. This is a form of unpredictability, a slight discomfort that's hard to place. I've written a note about this a few years back here. This continues until just after the eclipse, august 30th.

Among the collective planets - Uranus, Neptune, Pluto - there is a collaboration in the celestials: Uranus and Pluto connected through a trine and sextile, with Neptune at the center, connected to both through two sextiles. There is a collective and personal need to break free from boundaries, from limitations, and to undergo a sense of transformation. This will go in and out of orb for the coming years.
The lunar eclipse in Pisces
The lunar eclipse in Pisces will be felt in the emotional realm, tying into the subconscious. For those with a dominant air element in their chart, this may feel even more so - like something that can't really be perceived or grasped. This is because emotions and subconscious feelings are not rational, not logic. They cannot be understood with cognition. They are something to be felt, not understood. I will write about the eclipse separately from the sidereal zodiac, in Jyotish.
Jupiter-Saturn: staying grounded
Besides the personal planets, there is also the Jupiter-Saturn Rx trine happening. It's important to stay mindful of energy management, because Jupiter, too, can become so enthusiastic that it draws in too much - for example, by being so excited about everything we believe in. Here the Saturn Rx will be useful. Be hygienic with your vision and the energy to share it, be cautious and at the same time stay aware of your wins. Be mindful with your inner critic and allow (inner) feedback to be supportive of building your dreams sustainably.
Closing
This demands that we become really aware of the part we can rationally direct and choose - and, within that, make sure we have some energy saved to process, register, and digest the layers of existence we cannot fully grasp. This is something that is really relevant in the collective right now. It's a holistic way of living.
Knowing that, apart from the eclipse, there are several layers active that are also influencing and enhancing that need to shed skin. It is a very deep thing that usually goes beyond understanding.
It can also, many times, confront us with unresolved themes in the (chosen) family.
It will start making much more sense once you know how this effects your own birth chart. If you want to know how this works out in your chart, you should consult me, or any other astrologer able to read and explain that for you.
