Awareness, Naturally

All is One and All is awareness.

When we take birth into the body, Divine awareness expresses trough Nature. In Yogic terms, Purusha works trough Prakriti.. We can find great resemblance in Nature when we look at our constitution. The shape and color of our eyes can resemble beauty of the birth of a star. The veins of leaves run just like our own.

"God upholds the oneness of this Universe: the seen and the unseen, the transient and the eternal; The soul of man is bound by pleasure and pain; but when she sees God she is free form all fetters. There is a soul of man with wisdom an unwisdom, power and powerlessness; there is nature, Prakriti, which is creation for the sake of the soul; and there is God, infinite, omnipresent, who watches the work of creation." Svetasvatara Upanishad

When balance is distorted, we can find great wisdom in  medicinal properties of the great mother Nature growing and birthing it all continuously. Our sense of smell is a great means to evoke a certain state of presence. One can call in or set off certain vibrations trough scent, this primal tool can be therapeutic to some, or a way to return hOMe. Working with the macrocosm: the circumstances to support the microcosm: the internal wellbeing, requires a mindful and conscious approach.

The word "aromatherapy" can be misleading as it suggests that it is a form of therapy that is only available on the emotions work through smell. In addition to the scent, each oil has unique combination of effective components that supports the immune system. The oils can be absorbed by the blood and lymphatic system, for instance through skin contact in combination with a carrier oil.

In Practice

Rubs and body oils:

When working with essential oils we need to be mindful with direct skin contact as there are very little oils suitable to apply on direct skin. A standard aromatherapy massage is done with approximately 15- 36 drops of pure oil added to 50ml carrier oil. There is a way to go about it, as we make a symphony of oils by using 1/6 undertone oils such as, roots, resin, tree oils: we use 2/6 of herbal and spice oils and then we add: 3/6 of flowery and leafy oils.

Heal Thy Self
Aromatherapy and the use of essential oils to support and care for one self is applied to one on one consultancy and group classes. In relation to the focus of study, the celestial dance, the seasons and possible questions asked we can explore suitable oils that can support ones journey.
